How can I multiply my 200 Dollars to become 1000 Dollars at the age of 15?  Hey guys, to make a long story short, I want to make a self flight to my home country which I haven’t visited for 4 years. This trip is not something I can pass on, All of my friends and family are there and this is my last chance to go before I turn 16, because when I turn 16 i will be subject to joining that country’s army, and I won’t be able to return until I would be 25. Right now I have 200 dollars in my pocket, I earned it from birthday gifts etc. I took a loan of 300 dollars from my brother and with that money I bought 2 iphones for 150 each, which I can sell for 400 together, a 100 dollar profit. So I would have 300 dollars in about a week. But this is not enough, I cannot ask anything from my parents, they just bought a house and a barber shop, and I need to grow up a bit and start making my own money. I cannot get a part time job nobody will hire a 15 with no skills at all. So please help me out guys I really need to make this trip, it is going to be my last in a long time. Thanks to all!

I was wondering why all online brokers don’t allow people to buy puts/ calls from the start since the maximum the investor can lose is the premium (defined risk).
Right now I’m a college student so I don’t have a constant stream of income but I am willing to speculate with the money I do have. I also feel I have a higher level of understanding regarding options compared to other traders (I can calculate option price using BS formula, simulate stock prices via lognormal distribution, know the put-call parity, etc. since I’m studying for the actuarial exams). MY main question is: what do you think are the minimum requirements to have options trading enabled on an account. All the questions on the form have to do with what your current income is, you net worth, liquid net worth, etc. The most information about opions it asks is: have you traded options before?
