So obviously GM filed Chapter 11, thus making their stock worthless. The Q in GMGMQ signifies bankruptcy – rendering it useless. They’re paying creditors back, not investors.
One question I have is – the ticker under “GM,” is it different than “GMGMQ?”
And also, as of now, there’s no viable GM stock to buy, correct? All GM stock on the market is useless? Or did they issue new one?
If so, is there any word on a potential IPO in the future where we could then invest in GM with promises of returns?

and PLEASE HELP!!! With the recent horrible earnings report at RBS (royal bank of scotland)…..what do you think?  Do you think that this bank will make it (LONGTERM) without being nationalized (as the government already owns some 70%), or do you think that they will be fine as they continue to downsize, make markdowns, and they economy improves. I am a preferred shareholder and am wondering if i should continue to hold….as i have for the past year….or sell! THANKS., more
